Injured Mamady Sidibe returns to Stoke City for treatment - Click Liverpool

Tranmere Rovers loan striker Mamady Sidibe has returned to his parent club Stoke City for treatment to the hamstring injury he picked up on his debut.

The Mali international is expected to be sidelined for the next two weeks after limping off during last weekend's 5-1 thrashing of Colchester United.

Rovers boss Ronnie Moore is facing mounting striker problems, with Adam McGurk likely to be out for some time after receiving hospital treatment for a collapsed lung.

"He went into Stoke on Sunday and they're looking at a possible two week absence which seems to be the way things are going at the minute. But hopefully he's a quick healer," Tranmere assistant manager John McMahon told the club's official website.

"Adam McGurk will hopefully be out of hospital today [due to a collapsed lung] but he'll be out for a considerable time with that type of injury."
