With the best part of 3 months of the 2012-13 Premier League plan still to get, future summer shift offers aren't amongst the immediate goals of clubs. Yet, the season is at a level where recent events around the category are just starting to shape the direction clubs is going to be going when it comes to the design of their respective squads. Especially those people whose futures might lie elsewhere. A big part of what Tottenham Hotspur do in the transfer market depends on their end to the summer season. But there are a couple of members of Andre Villas-Boas' group who, for various reasons, are looking like they'll be on their solution of North London come early july. Within the length of the 2009-10 period Huddlestone was playing a few of his most readily useful baseball since joining the team in 2005. The six-foot-plus middle midfielder was creating a robustness that had previous been lacking. Already a terrific passer of the ball, there was signs he was finding an accompanying defensive sturdiness to back it up. Along side Luka Modric, Huddlestone performed his part in getting Tottenham Champions League qualification that year. The next year he started a little slowly, but was cruelly denied the opportunity to drive on when damage struck. That experience of a chance missed has only been added by his activities in the Spurs team in 2010. Huddlestone can still strike a beauty of a pass like several others can. But his ability to play a more substantial part than it has not much advanced since before. This is unsurprising considering the quantity of baseball he missed and the lack of match time he is getting now. For his sake, Huddlestone needs a fresh start. At 26, he is perhaps not likely to become the all-round midfield star his potential once hinted at. But somewhere there's a staff who could do with his vision for a move. Fulham were near signing him in January before Spurs pulled out of the deal, and might still do with a creative midfielder of Huddlestone's sort. Cottagers' employer (and former Spurs manager) Martin Jol may be the man to obtain the best out of him. William Gallas William GallasShaun Botterill/Getty Images With William Gallas' contract expiring come july 1st, it's looking unlikely he'll be offered an expansion. Villas-Boas recently discussed his plans to advance with only four key defenders (here, via The Guardian), speaking particularly highly of Michael Dawson who had been on the brink of last summer being bought. With Jan Vertonghen, Steven Caulker and Younes Kaboul also at the club, Gallas may be the one prone to make way. Between the others, Tottenham have a range of qualities one of them, addressing the different bases needed in the positioning. While Gallas has his defects, he's still a significant opponent. What counts most against him is his age. At 35 he is avove the age of Dawson (and demonstrably much more for others) six years. Gallas does offer experience, but Spurs' different center shells are hardly lacking because of it themselves. With Kaboul still out, Villas-Boas is going to be happy to own Gallas around a while longer. But the summertime come, it will be time to move ahead.
