We knew that there could be some staff reshuffling with the Reebok this summer but we don't know how far a changes would extend. As per a report from this Mirror, Bolton Wanderers are making changes on the medical and fitness department and of course, one of the members that is to be leaving the club is usually Dr. Jonathan Tobin, your club's doctor.
Typically, a club doctor leaving is simply not a big news scenario as their position is one often right out of the limelight. Hearing about your doctor on numerous occasions might normally indicate something wrong (injury-wise) within the club. Yet, that is strictly why Dr. Tobin can be a known commodity.
On seventeen March, 2012, Bolton Wanderers had traveled to White Hart Lane to defend myself against Tottenham Hotspur in some sort of FA Cup quarterfinal collide. In the latter stages within the first half, the match turned from a normal affair into a race just to save a young man's lifestyle. Fabrice Muamba collapsed to the pitch and Jonathan Tobin along with physio Andy Mitchell, cardiologist Claire Deaner, and Tottenham general practitioner Shabaaz Mughal, were immediately over the scene, attempting to resuscitate Fabrice.
77 minutes and 15 defibrillator bangs later, Muamba's heart began beating by itself again and the then-24-year-old took web site in a long road to recovery.
Per an investigation in the Bolton Info, strength & conditioning coach Mike Rawson as well as fitness coach (and the occasional kit man) Jimmy Barrow were each of the other staff members leaving Bolton Wanderers. Tobin was the longest-serving for the three, having been with his position since 2008. The other two had served within their respective roles at Bolton from 2010 on.
