First chart Federer looked over after Nishikori loss @ 2013 Madrid Open: Points to defend running. Why? To avoid facing the most notable three in the minute round. Opening?

In doing what Federer has showcased so far this season, following is visually a tall order to be able to just match. All that without even inserting the strides the highest three are expected to make for their own specific individual reasons as being the season wears on. Even though the other three - except for Murray - have similar standards to live up to this season, the likelihood of them reaching that high - at a minimum - is far better. And then, of training course, you have the Nadal factor of experiencing not played AT MOST after Wimbledon.

So there's no mercy from other end to replace the small margin of error your own. With youngsters such as Raonic, Nishikori, Dimitrov or anything else. coming into their very own, ploughing through early rounds for Federer will not be that much of some sort of Slam dunk anymore.
