Fulham join Arsenal in race to sign Aston Villa defender Matthew Lowton - Metro

Fulham have registered Premier League rivals Arsenal in the hunt for Aston Villaas highly-rated opponent Matthew Lowton. The 23-year-old has had an extraordinary plan for Paul Lambertas Villa part but should the Midlanders lose their leading journey status, they currently stand just three points off the drop zone in front of Monday nightas battle with other strugglers Sunderland, Lowton could well be tempted to maneuver on. Gunners chef Arsene Wenger is just a big fan of the versatile former Sheffield United full-back and would expect to have to spend in the region of A5million to bring him to the Emirates Stadium. Wenger sees Lowton being an thought replacement for Paris Saint-Germain goal, French global Bacary Sagna, whose future in north London remains unclear. Fulham are said to be at an enhanced level within their mission to land the kid leaving the Gunners at a disadvantage, even though the Gunners curiosity about Lowton could possibly be scuppered by his not enough experience.
