West Bromas school today formally moved to its new A1.3million foundation immediately opposite the Hawthorns. The Baggiesa youth set-up moved to the site in Halfords Lane after significantly more than six months of renovation work. The club have turned the former Tom Silk Building, which housed the Albion Foundation until last year, into dressing rooms and classrooms. And a location of carpark between the new academy building and the Baggiesa indoor pitch has been converted into a state-of-the-art artificial outside surface to be used by the club's talented youngsters. The function in Halfords Lane is section of a general project worth A2.5million to update academy services, with money also being allocated to pitches at the Great Barr training ground. And West Brom have committed A3million a year to any extent further to finance person growth after being granted category one status a' the best rating a in the Premier Leagueas new Elite Player Performance Plan. Baggies academy Manager Mark Harrison said: shock now have amazing purpose-built facilities found on one site. "We even have Sandwell Academy School, where our players like a full-time programme, right on the home. "The world-renowned football club academies talk about making a family experience. We have got a very good family culture at the club already. "Now we have a hub where we may recommend and develop further the task we do." The new building also houses medical rooms, practices and parentsa conference rooms while the Albion Foundation has moved to a new platform near the Hawthorns.
