Toon protection official probed over ticket sales - ChronicleLive

A Newcastle United safety manager is being examined by Belgian police over solution revenue St James' Park It's been reported that Boyd Weddell, NUFCas deputy security officer, is under investigation for selling tickets to two fans who went to Belgium for the Magpiesa match with FC Bruges last November. It is an offence in Belgium to market match briefs for personal gain, but Newcastle United have insisted the sale wasn't illegal because it was sanctioned by the club and awas not for personal gaina. But Belgian prosecutors have since confirmed they are investigating a problem to the allegation by Newcastle year ticket holder Pete Beaumont. Bruges prosecutor Yves Segaert-Vanden Bussche informed a newspaper: aMr Beaumontas issue has been carried to the neighborhood police in Bruges for more investigation.a Mr Weddell has not commented on the statements and Newcastle United has offered no statement on the study.
